Our Roots
RÖRE was born from a deeply personal experience and one that is all too relatable. After a multitude of injures and surgeries, our founder found herself navigating a fragmented and often confusing health and wellness system — one that rarely felt personalized, and even less often truly supportive.
From that experience came a simple conviction: movement and health should never be one-size-fits-all. Every person is different, and the path to feeling and performing your best should reflect that.
Rooted in purpose
At RÖRE, our members are the foundation — the strong, grounding core from which everything begins. Every experience we create is an intentional extension of that foundation.
From this center, our ecosystem unfolds: training, classes, wellness, rehabilitation, recovery, spa, café, events, and beyond. Each offering is thoughtfully designed as a natural extension of our philosophy — refined, purposeful, and deeply interconnected.
Like a living system, everything at RÖRE grows from and returns to you, the individual. Rooted in care and precision, our approach is designed to support the whole person, allowing each member to evolve, strengthen, and flourish in every dimension of life.

Your Team

At RÖRE, we hold ourselves to the highest standard. Our team of experts include licensed healthcare providers, movement specialists, wellness professionals, and culinarians who make your success their mission.

Sanne Marino
Meet Head Chef

x

Culinarian

Sanne Marino is originally from the Netherlands and moved to the United States just before turning four, when her parents relocated to expand their dairy farm. While her family still lives in northeast Indiana, Sanne moved to Michigan in 2021. She graduated from Purdue University in 2018 with a B.S. in Agricultural Economics and a B.S. in Animal Sciences. After beginning her career as a commercial lender in Indiana, she transitioned into mortgage lending when she moved to Michigan. When rising interest rates slowed the mortgage industry in 2022–2023, she took the opportunity to pursue her lifelong dream of attending culinary school. She enrolled at Schoolcraft College and graduated in 2025 with an Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts.

Sanne has been married to her husband, Andrew, for two and a half years, and together they have a sweet black lab named Ruby. Cooking has always been her greatest passion, but she also loves hiking, camping, kayaking, gardening, traveling, spending time with loved ones, and cheering on the Detroit Red Wings. She gravitates toward Japanese and Latin American cuisines, especially ramen and tacos. Her favorite piece of equipment is the Combi Oven!

Her “why” for joining RORE comes from a strong value for health and the inspiration she draws from her grandparents, who are 88 and 86 and still walk a 5K every day. She connected deeply with RORE’s emphasis on overall well-being rather than image or size. To Sanne, health is complex, personal, and unique to each individual. She believes it should be treated with that level of care.

Ila Roullie
Meet Our Chef

x

Certified Culinarian

Ila Roullier (C.C. – Certified Culinarian) is from the Metro Detroit area and graduated from Schoolcraft College in 2022 with an associate’s degree in Culinary Arts. She went on to earn a B.S. in Community Development with a concentration in Health Science and a minor in Nutrition from Central Michigan University in 2025. Ila plans to continue her education in graduate school, focusing on dietetics or nutritional sciences. She and her fiancé, Elijah—who is studying game design at Lawrence Technological University—will be married in May 2026. She also has two younger siblings who play hockey for the Canton Wolves.

Ila’s favorite hobbies include sketching new recipe concepts, reading, and diving into culinary and nutritional learning. Her favorite RORE food is the buckwheat waffles with banana and almond butter, and her go-to equipment includes the sauna and rowing machine.

Her “why” is rooted in a desire to help people within any community, big or small, through food and movement with the goal of preventing future illness and injury. Being able to create delicious food that nourishes both body and soul is deeply meaningful to her. Ila was drawn to RORE because she had long searched for likeminded individuals who believe in food and movement as foundational forms of medicine, while still valuing modern medical care. She feels truly grateful to have found a team dedicated not only to helping others, but also to building a supportive, spirited, and loving community.
